The Everyday Rewards+ Visa Signature credit card is a trimmed-down version of the U.S. Bank Altitude Go card for regional banks. It’s good for restaurant-related expenses.
In general, the Altitude Go is much better. The Everyday Rewards+ is only an alternative for people outside of U.S. Bank’s footprint. Because of U.S. Bank’s regional restrictions on applications, not everyone can get their credit cards. Elan cards function as a workaround. Many credit unions and other small banks carry Elan-issued cards. For example: A+ Federal Credit Union, Kearny Bank, Trustco Bank, and Webster Bank. Check your local area to see what’s available.

MAXIMIZING REWARDS WITH THE EVERYDAY REWARDS+ CARD
Points can be redeemed for cash, gift cards, etc, all the usual ways to use points. Points are worth $0.01 each and redeeming them for statement credits is likely the easiest redemption method.
ALTERNATIVES TO THE EVERYDAY REWARDS+
The Altitude Go has an additional $15 streaming credit, a higher sign-up bonus, 6 more months of 0% APR, and doesn’t have foreign transaction fees. We recommend checking out U.S. Bank’s credit cards first before considering this.
In either case, 4x points on dining is a great rate for a no-fee card. Most other cards earn 3% cash back at most.
The Citi Custom Cash Card is great but is best used for groceries. Personal preferences will dictate whether you’d want to use this at restaurants. Otherwise, we recommend Wells Fargo Autograph or Capital One SavorOne for dining expenses, since both no-fee cards get 3% cash back in 4+ categories. The Chase Freedom Unlimited or Chase Freedom Flex can work too.
If you don’t mind annual fees, solid options include the Chase Sapphire Reserve and American Express Gold card.
Outside of restaurants, the Everyday Rewards+ is basically useless. It’s outdone by any credit card that earns 2% cash back on everything, of which there are many. Over a dozen credit cards offer 2+% back on any purchase, without category restrictions.
CONCLUSION
The Everyday Rewards+ Visa Signature is a reasonable alternative for anyone who can’t get the U.S. Bank Altitude Go. If you want to earn high cash back rates at restaurants, without an annual fee, 4x points will be the best option.
The main downside is that this card IS limited by the fact it’s only for restaurants. It isn’t a good option anywhere else because competitors are significantly better in other areas. Some people may not like using multiple cards in a single wallet.
We rate the Everyday Rewards+ card 4 out of 5 stars. ⭐⭐⭐⭐
